Aki In Time (“Aki”) is designed with privacy in mind.

The app does not collect personal information.
All product data is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.

Data Storage

Information you add to Aki is stored locally on your device, including:

If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Aki can optionally sync your product data across your devices using your private iCloud account.

Control: You can disable iCloud sync for Aki at any time in Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage.

If iCloud is disabled, all data remains stored locally on your device only.

Barcode Lookup

When you scan a product barcode, Aki may query the OpenFoodFacts database to identify the product.

Only the barcode number is sent.

The following information is not shared:

OpenFoodFacts is an open food database operated by a non-profit organization.

Camera Usage

Aki uses the device camera to:

Aki can send local notifications to remind you when a product is approaching its expiry date.
